Non-Discrimination Policy

The philosophy of the Catholic Schools in the Archdiocese of Baltimore is based on the Christian Social Principles of the Gospel Message...to love and to respect the right of all people:

It is the policy of the Division of Catholic Schools that the Catholic Schools in the Archdiocese of Baltimore shall not discriminate on the basis of race, color, and/or national or ethnic origin in the administration of their educational policies, or admissions policies, scholarships and loan programs, athletics and other school programs.

Acceptance Policy for Admitting Students

Students are accepted at St. Philip Neri School in the following order:

1. Siblings of students already attending St. Philip Neri School
2. Children from families belonging to St. Philip Neri Parish
3. Children of St. Philip Neri Alumni
4. Catholic Non-Parishioners
5. Children from Non-Catholic families

Registration Policy

Time: Registration for incoming students is held during Catholic Education Week, which will be held January 29, 30, 31 and February 1, 2007, each day from 9am to 2pm, with an Open House on January 31st from 9am to 12pm. Following Catholic Education Week, a waiting list is created on a first-come, first-serve basis by family. To register, please contact the school office.

Waiting List
Each year a new waiting list is created following January registration of new students. As openings become available, the next family on the waiting list will be notified.
Re-Registration
All students are re-registered for the fall term by completing the re-registration form and by paying a re-registration fee by the end of January.

Requirements

Required documents for kindergarten:
• Child's Birth Certificate - St. Philip Neri School recognizes state regulations that require a child entering Kindergarten to be five years of age by September 1st of that actual year. First grade students must be six years of age by September 1st of that actual year.
• Baptismal Certificate (unless baptized at St. Philip Neri)
• Current immunization record (signed by a doctor) OR appointment date to see the doctor for his/her shots to be completed
• The required $50 registration fee
• Student Social Security number
• Letter from pastor if not St. Philip Neri parishioner


Required documents for grades 1 - 8
• Child's Birth Certificate
• Baptismal Certificate (unless baptized at St. Philip Neri)
• Current immunization record (signed by a doctor) or appointment date to see the doctor for his/her shots to be completed
• The required $50 registration fee
• A current report card
• A report card from his/her previous school year
• Student Social Security number
• Letter from pastor if not St. Philip Neri parishioner


School and health records, which parent/guardian must sign as proof of current immunization, are required.
