SACRAMENT OF THE ANOINTING OF THE SICK
Will be available on Sunday, February 28th after
the 11 am Mass.  Anyone who has a chronic illness
or who needs surgery is invited to receive the Lord's healing or help
in the sacrament.  Please register with one of the ushers when you come to Mass.
 
CONFIRMATION-2011
A meeting for candidates preparing for the Sacrament of Confirmation
in March 2011 is scheduled for March 14th, 2010.  Candidates and one
parent/sponsor must attend 9:30am Mass for the enrollment ceremony.
A workshop will follow Mass in the lower level of the school.
 
FISH BAKE
Will be held March 12th from 4:30 to 7pm in the gym.  Tickets are $7 per person
and includes dinner, sides and beverage, $25 for a family, $4. for a fish sandwich.
Desserts are 50 cents.  Prior ticket purchase required.  Call 410-684-3482.
 
LENTEN ECUMENICAL PRAYER SERVICE
St. Philip Neri Mission Team invites all parishioners to its 2nd Lenten
Ecumenical prayer Service, Friday, March 19th at 7pm.

LENTEN MISSION
February 22nd & 23rd at 6:30pm
The mission will be conducted by Father Edward Miller of St. Bernadine's Parish.
Father Miller will celebrate the 6:30pm mass each day and will follow with his talk. 
He will follow the Mass with his lecture centering on the them of "Who do you say I am?"
 
 COME AND SEE 
CATHOLIC BIBLE STUDY
In this Bible Study, you will encounter the writings of eleven prophets and
five apostles.  Learn how the prophecies of the Old Testament prophets were
fulfilled in the New Testament and addressed by the New Testament apostles.
This study offers an integrated approach to the Scripture, with references to
the Cathechism of the Catholic Church, the saints, and the early Church Fathers.
The Bible Study will begin Feb. 7th after the 9:30 am Mass and continue

EXPLORE THE QUESTIONS OF LIFE:
THE ALPHA PROGRAM
ALPHA is for anyone who wants to explore the Christian faith; grow deeper in it or
just simply wants a refresher in the basics.  Come and enjoy the fun, discussion and
growing in faith. 
Program begins-February 18th thru April 29th and will be held every Thursday evening
starting with dinner at 6:15pm, prayer at 7pm, followed by teaching and small group discussion.

 CHILDREN'S LITURGY OF THE WORD
Children ages 3-11 who are present at 9:30am Mass on Sundays are invited to take
part in the Children's Liturgy of the Word.

 RELIGIOUS EDUCATION
St. Philip Neri Religious Education Program for adults and for children is an essential part
of complete faith formation.  It has been shown to provide the basis for a healthy
spiritual life.  Fortify your children's faith as well as your own by registering in our

     HYMN BOOK MEMORIAL
SPN Parish has purchased new hymn books.  The books may be memorialized to remember
a loved one living or deceased, for a donation of $25.00.  Call the parish office at

         NEW ALTAR SERVERS
Girls and Boys who are going into 4th to 8th grade, and have received the sacraments
of Baptism, Reconciliation and First Eucharist are eligible to server.  For more information

VOLUNTEER DRIVERS NEEDED
Volunteers are needed to transport ladies or men who live at Arundel Woods
Senior Housing facility on Ordinance Road in Glen Burnie, to and from Sunday

  MARRIAGE PREPARATION PROGRAM
Couples who are planning to be wed at St. Philip Neri Church need to contact the
marriage coordinator, Mrs. Elliott one year in advance to begin the marriage
preparation program.  This program has been developed to help the engaged couple to focus
on the importance of their marriage as a lifelong commitment not just their wedding day.

   AMERICAN FLAGS
If you have American Flag that is worn or damaged, please donate it to the Boy Scouts, and
they will see that it is retired with honor.  Flags can be dropped off to Marge Fair in
the parish office.
 
      SOCIAL OUTREACH MINISTRY
Is asking for help with a commitment to help with the deliveries of casseroles.
Casseroles are collected on the third weekend of each month.  They are then
delivered on Sunday after the 9:30am Mass to Our Daily Bread.

 KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS
The St. Philip Neri Council #14612 of the Knights of Columbus meets the
second Wednesday of the month in the Parish Center and the fourth Wednesday
of the month in the rectory.  Both meetings start at 8pm.
 
MEN'S CLUB
The Men's Club meet every 1st, 3rd and 5th Thursday of every month in the parish
center.  Annual Stag Bull Roast will be held on February 28th.
