Arrival, Dismissal, and Before/After Care

MORNING ARRIVAL

ALL STUDENTS MUST HAVE COMPLETED THEIR MORNING SURVEY BEFORE COMING TO SCHOOL.

You will receive a link to the survey every morning at 5 AM.

Pre-K and K students will be dropped off, out front, at the end of the driveway by the playground. There will be teachers there to guide them in.

Pre-K parents will be required to take their child's temperature, while in the car, in front of our staff member. Please have your own thermometer on hand to take your child’s temperature.

1st grade students will enter school using the front doors of the school.

2nd-8th grade students will enter using the Parish Center doors on the back parking lot. Teachers will be on duty to assist.

NO ONE MAY EXIT THEIR CAR UNTIL THEY ARE ADVISED TO DO SO.

MASKS MUST BE WORN AT ALL TIMES!

Q: How will morning arrival be handled?

Morning arrival will take place according to protocol listed above.  Cars will begin arriving in the back parking lot at 7:40-8:05 AM.  Students will report directly to their classroom.

DISMISSAL

Pre-K and K will dismiss from the side playground doors (same doors they entered in the morning.)

Pre-K families will be required to sign out their child. Masks must be worn at all times!

Grades 1-8 will dismiss from the back parking lot.

Each family will receive a number to place in their car window. We will dismiss students by car number.
Each family will need to stay near their car. Masks must be worn at all times!

Q: How will afternoon dismissal be handled?

Dismissal will begin for preschool starting at 2:50 PM and continuing through to 3:25 PM for all other grades.  Parents are asked to wait for their students, wearing masks, and according to social distance guidelines, and move directly to their cars once students are dismissed. See information above for more details.

Q: Will the Extended Care be available to school families?

The school’s Before and After School program is available to families on a limited basis and will adhere to the procedures and guidelines provided by the Maryland Office of Child Care.
